Why logo design is important ?

Imagine if there were only text and no logos how difficult it would be to select or distinguish between other application

Our eyes are good at tracking visuals graphics as compared with reading different words.

A company with a good design logo shows an identification and brand stamp which goes through a long time. Brand logos are the visual identity of any company and they do play with the feelings like when we see the logo of Google we directly think of search and thats how visual grammar works.

Being a design student my motive was always to learn and explore new possibilities something which excites me a lot. This blog is framed to show how I had started learning the tools required to make such logos.

Thought process towards the process of logo making

To be honest, before this I had never design a logo for any brand or company though first I was supposed to look on people work and on their design process so after a couple of days, I came up with dozens of principle and design process that a logo must have or one who makes one cam consider.

Knudge.me app logo was among one of the logo from my list which i had selected to replicate.

To learn how to start up making a logo which was not that simple but message appealing first I had chosen the kudge.me logo

Factors which may or may not be considered while exploring the designs.

Using Isometric Grid

The whole logo is framed under isometric grid within 30° lines which was very connecting visually , it looks like a open book or an arrow head .

1 - Make it as simple as possible

2- Make it Scalable

3- Colour scheme

4- Get Inspiration

5 - Thought Appealing

Conclusion

There were total 3 colors in the whole logo some of the points i had noticed is

The background colour is dark and the subject is made in a light colour which follows the rule of Color of Extension (color Interection)

Benefits -Applying the rule of the colour of Extension it was helpful to emphasise the subject through colours

Why scalable?

The reason it need be scalable is because logos are versatile designs that appear on almost every small and big things. So, when we put logo on a big size it should appear proportionate from every angle.
When the logo is printed on smaller surfaces such as business cards, a pen or drinkware, design elements of your logo should be visible clearly. A way to ensure a proportionate logo is that use the design grids.

Thought Appealing

our company’s logo design must be a memorable work of art that can efficiently convey a brand message. It should be scalable and flexible as well so that it fits in all sizes and looks nice in a wide range of online and physical platforms. Make sure that the logo stands out in the crowd of your competitors’ logos.

At last when the whole process was completed I came up with an idea what if I will redesign the same logo ? And for sure i will do this in future.

In the whole journey, I had learned how to start up with such a basic design and end up with such an amazing thought process .There was so much learning in the whole process I had learned new tools and the process of using the grid in the logo which was a way to helpfull for proportion and balance. The logo was itself emphasizing its message which was very necessary.

Mastering the craft

I love making art live sketches however its time to embark on a journey where I combined my artistic skills with the right craft

Obviously, it’s important for an artist to have original ideas but as it was my first step towards logo making i tried to copy the knudge.me logo

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.knudge.me

. Tools used (Adobe Illustrator) to be honest this was my first time i was using adobe illustration

Do let me know whether I succeeded in copying the original.
